Need to cool down during this beautiful heat wave? Grab some fresh fruit and a bottle of red wine and mix yourself some sangria! This is a blended version of the classic summertime drink and you can make each glass one a time to ensure maximum deliciousness.
what you need:
a blender
red wine (i used Red Bicyclette’s Pinot Noir)
frozen blueberries
sliced fresh peaches (leave the skins on if you like pulpy goodness)
1 oz of gin
honey
pull it together:
In your blend, pour in as much wine as you can fit into your chosen glass. Could be a lot, could be a little. I ain’t here to judge – its summer! Next toss in the frozen blueberries (these will make your sangria smoothie nice and cold) and 3/4 of the sliced peaches. Douse the mixture with one ounce of gin and a spoonful of honey to sweeten it u p a bit. Blend until smooth and frothy. Serve up in your glass and garnish with the remaining peach slices.
What do you put in your sangria? I am thinking a citrus sangria with white wine or a light prosecco might be my next experiment!

These look delicious, and so pretty! Let’s please include these next time we hang out!
I think that is definitely an excellent plan. Let’s try out the citrus one I want to try!
Hi there! I was just checking out blogs from the Alt readership class
I think it is so funny that you did a post on this, because I just made almost the same thing the other day and thought about blogging about it! I wanted a fruit smoothie like drink, but I didn’t have any suitable liquid, so I poured in red wine- Lambrusco. I used some frozen watermelon and blueberries. I will have to try your version next time!

Hi Lori! So nice to “meet” you! Thanks so much for checking out my blog. Yum, that sounds amazing. I’ve been craving watermelon so much lately thanks to the hot temperatures! Definitely let me know how your sangria making goes! xo
