anniversary vacay: day six (seattle)

August 17 – Our last day in Seattle was pretty relaxed and lovely with a morning stop to a U-District music shop. It was called The Folk Store and had everything a folk musician could ever want — Byron had a heyday trying out all of the amazing expensive banjos.  He definitely got very inspired to start saving for a really nice banjo soon.  Neat little shop.  Afterward, we heading to Wallingford and Fremont neighbourhoods to explore a bit.  We had great coffee at Caffe Vita, an adorable coffee spot with open air windows.  There were so many people in there working away on their laptops.  I would love to join them.  We stumbled upon a Wednesday farmers market in Wallingford that was lovely.  We ate peaches, we people-watched, we waved to dogs, we listened to an experimental upright bassist.  A beautiful day indeed.  Onwards to Beautiful British Columbia.
