Well, I’ve got some news to share with you, my friends. After weighing in on a number of recent career decisions and my desk nearly toppling over with to-do lists, I’ve arrived at the decision to leave Standard Issue as Editor. I feel good knowing it is the right decision for me at this time in my life. It is so important for me to remember why I do things in the first place and keep revisiting those thoughts in times of doubt. If I can offer any advice to anyone feeling like they are spreading themselves too thin – do what makes you happy and never compromise that feeling for anything. Ain’t nobody got time for that, pals.
As I move on, I want to wish my cofounder Mackenzie and all of my lovely contributors all the success as they move forward with Standard Issue in 2014. I feel so lucky to have been one half of this fantastic site and have gotten to work with so many amazing photographers, videographers, local businesses and bloggers as we built the site together. Thanks to everyone who brought Standard Issue to life. A bucket list item; totally checked off!
