A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article in Swerve Magazine about how the spirit of the ’90s has returned with the revival of Dr. Martens. Those boots are just incredible and have such an amazing history. I cannot get enough of their fabulous Brit street style and the general bad-ass-ness of the brand. Which is why I kinda freaked out when I saw that Dr. Martens was presenting their fourth collaboration with world-renowned style innovator and British ex-pat Agyness Deyn. Know for her impeccable style, Aggy is the perfect brand ambassador for Docs.
The collection is inspired by Aggy’s new west-coast home and comprised of clothing, footwear and accessories featuring prints and patchworks influenced by California surf punk style and American sportswear.
“It’s great to have the freedom to play in so many style camps with the Docs girl. I was obsessing over the euphoria of summer and found that Docs has roots all the way into the early Venice Beach hardcore scene (very different from the East Coast). The inspiration is extremely laid-back, low key beach rat,” says Agyness. What a girl. ♥♥♥
